“The expressive potential of mosaic as a technique, enables one to discover personal poetry and expression through a long-lasting process. With its grandeur and long history of creation, stone adds to an impression of timelessness. Its inflexibility in expressing finesse poses a challenge in depicting reality, so that an expression of the spiritual would prevail over depiction of the corporal.”
